Recognizing that violence prevention needs to
be taught to all school-age children, the Montgomery Country Violence
Prevention Project Committee decided to provide an educational booklet of
its own. This study guide, entitled "WARNING: Violence May Be
Hazardous to Your Health", is an attempt to furnish teachers with a
tool which can be used to initiate a discussion about the problems and
possible solutions in a relatively uncomplicated fashion.
The project feels that teachers have an
excellent opportunity to address the issues of violence in the classroom.
This can be done through the Violence Prevention Study Guide which can be
effectively incorporated into any class setting or through a speaker on
the topic who can address the issues of Violence Prevention with the
